New Years Resolution
Drinking the amount of water i’m supposed to each day is very difficult for me. My reasoning for this is just plain and simple, i do not like water. I dont like the taste. It’s not refreshing to me. If i force myself to drink the amount of water i’m supposed to on a daily basis, i end up procrastinating, which results in me chugging water before bed every night. 9 times out of 10 because of the amount of water i end up drinking at one time then results in me feeling like i’m drowning. It’s a MESS.
If you’ve been following along for a few years, you know better than anyone, i own just about every water bottle out there on the market. Bluetooth water bottles that connect to your phone and send you hourly reminders, water bottles that light up as a reminder for you to drink, cell phone apps that add a measure of “nurture” to track your water intake (i can’t even tell you how many plants i killed on that app). I’ve tried it ALL.
2021 is no holds bar, i’ve got to up my H2O game, if for nothing else, my health.
Obviously, the first step to the success of this goal is to find a water bottle that is going to work for YOU. Here are three things that i noticed throughout the past few years:
I like my water cold. Like ice cold. If it’s room temperature, i have no interest in drinking it : So i needed a water bottle (like a yeti!) that would keep my water cold for a long period of time.
I drink a larger quantity of water each sip when i can drink out of a smoothie style straw.
I typically do not find myself filling up a smaller water bottle multiple times a day. So i need a larger bottle that i only need to fill and drink once or twice a day.
A few months ago, i searched online for a bottle that would fit just that description. Although i found the perfect bottle, the timing of the goal just wasnt right. Matt and I were living in two different cities and were about to move in together in Nashville. So our belongings were all over the place.
This Christmas, Matt surprised me with my dream water bottle.
It’s 40 oz, insulated to keep my water cold for hours and has a straw lid for easy sipping.
