The Road-Tripper Gift Guide
I-40 Drive through the Blue Ridge Mountains just before Asheville, North Carolina - my personal favorite part of my 6.5 hour drive back to South Carolina (home!)
My favorite part of the 6.5 Road Trip home. The Blue Ridge Mountains. Simply Breathtaking.
Let’s be honest here folks. This year has been a LITTLE scary to get on an airplane or even step foot in that nasty airport. I currently live in Nashville, TN which is about a 6.5 hour drive from home (Columbia, SC). Needless to say, i’m no guru, but i’ve spent SEVERAL hours in a car this year. With a dog and everything, it just has made the most sense.
I LOVE a good long drive! I used to complain if the drive was longer than 3 hours. Now? A long, in no rush, scenic tour through the Blue Ridge mountains is my JAM. (See photo above) You can listen to pod-casts, open your sunroof and blare John Mayer in concert if you want to. Throwback 90’s playlist on spotify, it’s your sister! You can stop for a Starbucks or 6 piece nugget at any moment. It’s a journey all in itself. There is something SO freeing about a Road Trip.
So here’s the good stuff. The stuff any fellow road-tripper would vibe with. Great stocking stuffer gifts as most of them are below $20! All Items are Linked below.
Instax Mini 11 – the perfect way to take fun polaroids along the way. Stop and take a photo in front of that weird Dinosaur Museum in Kentucky or maybe the Dollywood sign!
Quay High Key Sunglasses – MY FAVORITE pair. I’ve been through, i dont know, say 3 or 4 pairs of these at this point.
Starbuck Giftcard – because, who DOESNT need caffiene on a long drive?!
Ainope Dual USB Car Charger – A girl (or guy!) on the go needs to be able to charge two devices at once. With your map and Spotify runinng, your phone needs to constantly be plugged in. That leaves another usb port for your co-pilot or an ipad or laptop computer.
Windex Wipes To-Go – Maybe it’s my OCD but I keep these in the car specifically to keep tiny’s “nose marks” off the windows. But they also come in super handy should you spill something or just want a nice fresh wipe down of the dashboard. Road Trips can sometimes leave your car feeling icky. so a little refresh every now and then is helpful!
YETI tumbler – I’m going to be 100% honest and vulnerable with you guys here, i HATE water. I dont like the taste of it, i dont feel like i’m getting hydrated when i drink it. It’s a real struggle. BUT, i do know it’s important. SO, i’ve come to the conclusion that i dont mind it, if it’s COLD and over ice. My YETI ensures that i dont have to chug it to get it down. It stays COLD and the Ice doesnt melt for HOURS. I’ve even gotten into my car the next day and the ice is still there. this is BY FAR my favorite car companion.
Chick Fil A Gift Card – because it’s really, really hard to resist pulling over for a 6 piece nugget and some Chick Fil A Sauce.
Saucemoto Car Sauce Holders – mark my words – THESE ARE A MUST! There’s just no other way to put it. They clip to your air vents in your car and can hold any sauce from any fast food restaurant. it makes driving and eating SO much easier!
Mahogany Teakwood Bath and Body Works Car Air Freshener – My personal favorite scent. But they come in MANY! Helps make my car feel more like a clean home but isnt that “new car” air freshner tree from the gas station.
Visor Sunglass Clip – Holds your sunglasses. Does your car still have the push button sunglass holder where the garage buttons are? Mine doesnt. this little handy keeps me from losing them (and scratching them!) in my purse.
Happy Gifting!
