THE STORY BEHIND THE NAME OF THIS DESIGN:

It may come to a surprise to you that I have included a monogrammed stationery within my handlettered/calligraphy stationery line but trust me on this one, this design is the most important.

This design is named after a very sweet follower of mine on Instagram. I’ve never met her in person but it sure feels like we’ve been the best of friends for many, many years.

A few months ago, I decided to begin selling calligraphed ornaments through my website online. You see, i had never had shipping supplies before. Before Thanksgiving of 2020, all i had ever sold was a “service” - Calligraphy services. I had only dreamt of creating physical items to create and ship out into the world. The ornament decision was a complete snap decision that just happened to be launched at the perfect time & completely take off. (praise the lord!) Madison was one of my very first customers.

In fact, she placed two orders of ornaments throughout the month of December.

I remember thinking: “Well that certainly is sweet! She purchased so many and must have really loved them because now she’s back for round 2!”. She was officially my first “repeat customer”.

Over time, Madison and I began communication through direct messages on Instagram. Not too long into our new found friendship, she asked if I produced personalized monogram stationery. She’s also a newlywed so i can only imagine she wanted such a thing because she wanted her “new” monogram.

I had just launched a few different varieties of return address rubber stamps but that was just to dip my toe in the water. Stationery? Like actual stationery?! That seemed like a tall order.

I coyly wrote her back and said, “Not at this time but, i will certainly keep you posted if we ever decide to! Thank you always for your support!”

(Phew! dodged that one!)

As the days went by, I couldn’t stop thinking about her request. Rubber stamps seemed to be selling just fine. People seemed to really like those which was exciting and eye-opening. So I took to my Instagram Stories and polled the rest of my followers: “Hey would any of you be interested in custom stationery?” 95% of the responses were “Yes, Please!”

Well, so here we are. About a month after our original conversation that stemmed this collection in the first place.

I did it. I jumped & Madison has supported me through it all since the beginning.
